Royal Challengers Cricket Vs Mumbai Indians Cricket Match Scorecard is the unbeaten way to find out which team win the next IPL match.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru lost by seven wickets against Mumbai Indians, their fifth loss in succession and making their season all the more tenuous. Faf du Plessis blames dew as one of the factors, while crediting Mumbai for their play and especially Jasprit Bumrah as an exceptional bowler.

Mumbai Indians won the toss and elected to bowl

KKR will kick-off their Indian Premier League (IPL) season against Mumbai Indians at Eden Gardens. Both teams boast impressive IPL records; Mumbai Indians having won more titles than anyone else and playing well against KKR over time.

Royal Challengers Bangalore have an extremely formidable squad this year, including top players like Virat Kohli, AB de Villiers and Moeen Ali. Additionally, their batting line-up and bowling attack is solid; Royal Challengers are considered one of the favourites to take home IPL glory this year.

Rohit Sharma leads an outstanding batting unit, including Kieron Pollard as all-rounder, as well as Lasith Malinga and Mitchell McClenaghan providing excellent bowling attacks that enable them to chase big totals effectively.

Last season, they made an inconsistent start, but made strides as the tournament progressed and eventually reached the semi-finals where they beat Royal Challengers Bangalore by 35 runs thanks to Pollard’s outstanding all-round performance – scoring 33 runs off 13 balls while also taking three wickets with his 317th wicket taking effort!

In the final, they were defeated by Chennai Super Kings for the first time ever at home; both 2010 and 2019 having seen them as runners-up respectively. This marked their first IPL loss at home.

Lasith Malinga returned to Mumbai after an extended absence and the club made another significant acquisition – JP Duminy from South Africa to strengthen their batting lineup.

Although they had lost both Sachin Tendulkar and Ricky Ponting from their opening pair, the team still managed to score 209/5. Thanks to brilliant bowling from Lasith Malinga and Munaf Patel, the Delhi Daredevils were limited to an extremely low total of just 87/10; this mark represented one of the lowest totals ever conceded during an IPL match! This remarkable performance led them to finish second with 10 out of 14 victories (although controversially replaced as captain by Hardik Pandya). Finally, during an IPL tournament final between two teams who managed 209/5; these teams managed to beat Delhi Daredevils (both won).

Royal Challengers Bengaluru won the toss and elected to bowl

Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) captain Faf du Plessis won the toss and elected to bowl during their Ipl 2023 match against Kolkata Knight Riders at Eden Gardens. This marked their inaugural home game of the season; Sunil Narine reached 150 Ipl games while Andre Russell made 100 appearances for their club.

RCB are one of the most-followed teams in Indian Premier League but have failed to capitalize on their fan base by winning titles, despite reaching IPL finals three times. Owned by United Spirits and with M Chinnaswamy Stadium as its home venue.

The team has had an impressive start to their season and currently sit at second in the points table. Both batting and bowling units have performed admirably, leading them towards qualification for playoffs.

Bengaluru-based franchise made an unexpected turnaround after starting the season inconsistently and secured their playoffs spot with two consecutive victories against Gujarat, but an upset loss ended their hopes of claiming their first IPL crown.

Under Faf du Plessis’ leadership as captain this season, the team has shown much improved form. Their efforts have been enhanced by an influx of young Indian and overseas talent into the team.

Experienced cricketers AB de Villiers, Marcus Stoinis and Moeen Ali lead an excellent young squad including Lockie Ferguson, Yash Dayal and Mahipal Lomror – while previous seasons relied heavily on their batsmen for success. Now, this season has seen Royal Challengers Bangalore strengthen their bowling unit to increase chances of capturing an IPL title.

Royal Challengers women’s assistant head coach Malolan Rangarajan says her team plans on conducting several player camps prior to WBBL season three auction this year. She praised star performer Ellyse Perry for making one young fan’s day during WBBL 2024 and thanked ThePrint readers for supporting fair journalism and on-ground reporting efforts by giving us your support!

Mumbai Indians declared their innings closed

When a batting team has established itself as an early front, and knows that spending too much time batting would allow the opposition to force a draw, the captain may declare the innings closed to save the match rather than risk losing wickets. The decision to close usually comes when play has ended but may also be made at any point during play based on tactical considerations of their captain and the situation at hand.

Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) is an Indian professional franchise cricket team competing in the Indian Premier League based out of Bengaluru, Karnataka owned by United Spirits Limited and competing in its sixth season of IPL play since 2016. While they have twice won this coveted trophy, their other three attempts failed to qualify them for its finals.

Chris Gayle led Royal Challengers Bangalore’s success against Chennai Super Kings during their opening qualifier match, scoring an unbeaten 89 off 47 balls for his side. Unfortunately, they would lose to CSK later on and be eliminated from competition.

However, in their second qualifier against Lucknow Super Giants, RCB batted first and set an ambitious target of 406. Rohit Sharma was dismissed early for a duck and Rahul Chawla followed suit with six-ball fifty. Suryakumar Yadav did not contribute significantly but Amarnath Vengsarkar and Vishwanath all put on solid partnerships that brought them close to reaching their target score.

Jasprit Bumrah stood out as the star bowler for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), taking four wickets in just his first two overs to reduce Lucknow to 28/4. Ravindra Jadeja then struck back by dismissing Ollie Pope and Johnny Bairstow quickly in quick succession to move England closer towards their modest target. MI have struggled in middle overs, however their lack of urgency never seemed an issue as Lucknow were never under much pressure to chase such an enormous total total.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru declared their innings closed

Royal Challengers Bengaluru have done everything possible to end their long Indian Premier League title drought. While bringing in some of the biggest T20 names since 2021, Royal Challengers Bengaluru still managed to create a loyal ‘Bold Army’ that have shown incredible support throughout their tenure in Bengaluru.

RCB have fallen from grace following five consecutive defeats and are presently at the bottom of the table, which they hope to avoid with a strong performance by their batsmen – led by Glenn Maxwell’s efforts in an attempt to end his poor run of form, after previously earning himself an important contract at RCB.

Maxwell failed to score even one run during either innings, departing for a duck on both. Rohit Sharma replaced Maxwell but did no better – being dismissed after three balls for a three-ball duck himself! Furthermore, Kartik Agarwal also was sent back without scoring even one run!

Agarwal was then moved up the order, whereby Mitchell Starc quickly bowled him. Shashwat Rawat then struck back by taking an excellent wicket to bring down their score to 246-9.

Navdeep Saini and Shivam Dube were sent back into the hut shortly afterwards, followed by Heshwar Padikkal and Gurkeerat Singh Mann who quickly followed suit. Ajaz Ahmad of Delhi pacer was however an exceptional performer for RCB who ended their innings on 282-9.

RCB released many players ahead of the 2025 IPL mega auction, yet managed to retain some top players such as Virat Kohli despite this move, such as Du Plessis being unable to revive their fortunes this season. According to reports, their management are looking at reinstating Kohli as captain following Du Plessis’ failed efforts at turning their fortunes around this season.
