New Zealand National Cricket Team Vs India National Cricket Team Match Scorecard is the most important thing before bet on NZ vs India match.
Tom Latham’s incredible century enabled New Zealand to end their 36-year dry spell against India and establish itself back as one of the premier Test teams globally.
Bumrah and Kuldeep begin with tight bowling, conceding only 1 run in their opening two overs of delivery. Devon Conway and Will Young steadily build New Zealand’s innings in response.
1st Test
India and New Zealand put on an exhilarating contest in their first Test encounter, both teams showing their respective strengths to produce an exciting battle that won over fans worldwide. After much tension, New Zealand proved victorious – winning their third Indian Test ever and first since 1988, as well as increasing their ranking on the world table with this win.
India’s bowlers dominated the day and managed to contain Kiwi batsmen. However, New Zealand openers took advantage of favorable batting conditions to amass a formidable score – eventually reaching 237/7 and making for an extremely difficult target for India to chase down.
After being sent in to bat, India were reduced to 46/5 in their first innings; but thanks to experienced players they managed to pull through. Their players showed great grit and determination when faced with such a daunting challenge and eventually managed to claw their way back and win the game despite starting off slowly.
New Zealand was able to amass an impressive total of 224 for 6 in their second innings and then went on to defeat Sri Lanka by eight wickets, which was considered unlikely by most pundits prior to this matchup. New Zealand managed this remarkable triumph despite facing substantial odds against winning this Test; their previous series against them had ended in defeat and few expected them to pull off another victory here either.
The inaugural test between India and South Africa proved an entertaining affair, leaving both teams eager for further battles between them in future matches. Not only has this match improved India’s world ranking status; but it has also provided both sides an opportunity to showcase their abilities.
At 9:15 am, conditions appear favorable for starting off the game in good spirits. A few drops of rain have fallen upon the outfield but are slowly drying up, as players start warming up on their respective fields with whites adorned. Umpires have also made themselves present and discussed pitch conditions with players and spectators.
2nd Test
Rohit Sharma-led India have an opportunity to redeem themselves after an underwhelming performance on Day 1 against New Zealand at M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru in Test 2, as winning will set up the series finale in Mumbai.
India won the toss and decided to bat first in damp, overcast conditions on Day 1, only to be bowled out for 46 runs by New Zealand’s pace attack led by Matt Henry and William O’Rourke who took 12 wickets between them. Despite winning and choosing to bat first in damp and overcast conditions, however, India were bowled out in just over four hours with Virat Kohli, Cheteshwar Pujara, Ravindra Jadeja all falling for ducks on this opening day. New Zealand’s pace attack dominated, led by Matt Henry & William O’Rourke taking 12 wickets between them to give New Zealand an early edge over their counterparts on this opening day despite winning and choosing to bat first despite damp conditions – even winning and choosing to bat first due to damp overcast conditions on this damp morning before bat first going on this first day for only 46 runs total in all overcast conditions on which New Zealand took full control with Matt Henry + William O’Rourke combining for 12 wickets taken during their innings!
On the second day, New Zealand continued their dominance with the ball and an opening batsman Tom Latham was dismissed after scoring an elegant 107. Rachin Ravindra scored 50 to give them an unassailable lead of 356 runs. India struggled in response, losing Shubman Gill and Yashasvi Jaiswal before Ravichandran Ashwin finally broke through by dismissing Jaiswal.
Washington Sundar, who replaced Kuldeep Yadav and Axar Patel in New Zealand’s spin attack, took seven wickets during the session as New Zealand bowled India out for 259. Together with Glenn Phillips (2/26), New Zealand’s left-arm spinners managed an outstanding 7-53 record against India batting order.
India only saw limited resistance from Axar before being dismissed in the 67th over by Mitchell Santner’s sublime delivery that kept low and nipped away to hit his stumps. Ravindra Jadeja then edged one behind to be caught at slip by Devon Conway for just six runs.
As New Zealand took control, light began to fade and play was abruptly ended after 50 overs, giving New Zealand an alarming 356 lead over India in this series. To avoid a whitewash scenario in Test five, India captain Rohit Sharma acknowledged his team “didn’t quite execute our plans”, and they must make better use of their batting resources in Test six.
3rd Test
Following an intense rain-soaked first day, India’s Rohit Sharma won the toss and elected to bat on Day 2, but New Zealand bowlers quickly took control, capitalising on an unpredictable pitch with swing, bounce and deviation. India’s batters struggled against New Zealand bowlers’ spinners while making poor shot selection decisions against Kiwi bowlers; by lunchtime India were struggling at 27/3 – they will hope to improve on that total in future matches.
India must act quickly if they hope to win this Test match, and Rishabh Pant’s remarkable innings can help pull them out of this hole and take risks without facing another collapse like in their second innings against Bangladesh.
India could have fared much worse. After an initially disappointing start, Pant was poised to lead his side to safety but was given out off his back foot on review by third umpire Paul Reiffel due to a bat-pad catch decision which was later overturned following replay evidence indicating possible bat deflection and thus was overturned by Paul Reiffel’s decision.
New Zealand and their fans will long remember this momentous occasion, yet even it wasn’t enough to save India from defeat. Pant fought hard but New Zealand came away victorious, becoming the first visiting team ever to record a 3-0 Test series whitewash victory in India. The Black Caps’ victory ensured they maintained their unbeaten record in India and ended India’s streak of four home Test series victories. Now level at 1-1, the third and deciding Test will be played in Mumbai with New Zealand as favourites to prevail; India, however, were defeated heavily in both initial Tests so must battle hard if they are to have any hope of salvaging this match.
4th Test
The inaugural Test between India and New Zealand at Wankhede Stadium was an unforgettable encounter that mesmerised its audiences. Jasprit Bumrah and Trent Boult were standout performers with their bowling and batsmanship respectively, leading their respective captains close to victory before eventually falling short of victory themselves. Still remembered today for its quality of play, excellent sportsmanship, thrilling scenes throughout, as well as raising the standard for Test matches in India both sides are now competing to gain top rank on ICC rankings rankings.
New Zealand made an aggressive start on day two of the Test match against India, with Shubman Gill and Rishabh Pant scoring quick fifties as they chipped away at India’s lead. But Ish Sodhi managed to break this partnership through his brilliant bowling; eventually breaking their 96-run partnership altogether.
Once again, India took control with Ravindra Jadeja and Washington Sundar taking four wickets each to finish off their innings and set a huge target for New Zealand to chase down – although ultimately this game ended in a draw and the series remains tied 1-1.
Day 3 saw another exciting contest between New Zealand and India, as both sides exchanged blows throughout. A nail-biting finish saw both teams battle back from losing positions to take control, with New Zealand eventually reaching a 143-run lead with one wicket remaining; unfortunately though rain intervened and called off play with only a few overs left to play – giving New Zealand confidence of winning this series in Bengaluru.
